Apple reportedly set to reuse the Apple Watch design in next iteration

There’s nothing necessarily wrong with sticking with a tried and true design – just look at the HTC One series or the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 – but with more attractive circular Android Wear watches, the Gear S2, and so many other compelling options, refinement and improvement seems to be the name of the game when it comes to the smartwatch market. Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales launches charitable social network, phone service

Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales thinks there’s “something really wrong with the web” and, as he wrote in a recent online “manifesto,” he wants “your help in fixing it.” For Wales, most social media networks treat users as commodities that can “be sold to advertisers,” while phone companies “spend huge amounts of money on” ads to sell users “what is essentially a commodity service.” Enter The People’s Operator. On Tuesday, Wales launched TPO, a charitable social network and phone service in the U.S.

Apple's upcoming streaming music service reportedly under FTC investigation

It looks like Apple’s efforts to revamp Beats Music is drawing the wrong kind of attention from government antitrust officials, as the company’s dealings with record labels and artists — already said to be the subject of a Department of Justice investigation — are now under scrutiny by the Federal Trade Commission, a report said on Tuesday.
