Nvidia just took the wraps off the newest edition to the Titan family, the Volta-powered Titan V. The new GPU is explicitly targeting AI and deep learning workloads, and while it’s anything but cheap, it’s also a heck of a lot less expensive than buying an HPC installation.

Google announces the Nexus 6: A phablet monster running Android 5.0 Lollipop

Google has taken the wraps off the Nexus 6, a six-inch smartphone (phablet) that is essentially an enlarged Moto X. It runs Android 5.0, which is now officially called Lollipop. It will be available to pre-order from October 29, and will appear in stores/on your doorstep in the first week of November. Pricing starts at $650 off-contract — or about twice what the Nexus 5 cost.

At IFA 2014 in Berlin, Intel has finally taken the wraps off its first three 14nm Broadwell-based Core M processors, filling in most of the remaining gaps. We now know the base and turbo frequencies for Broadwell-Y, the TDPs of the first Core M chips (yes, Intel has moved away from SDP), and the other changes and tweaks that will allow for fanless Broadwell-powered tablets and two-in-one laptops that are just 8mm thick.
