The Apple Watch represented the company’s attempt to marry the ultimate Dick Tracy smart gadget with the genius of the iPhone, but it fell short. Instead of a convenience, it was far too slow and complicated for many consumers to navigate. WatchOS 3 is a “significant and welcome upgrade,” said Jitesh Ubrani, senior research analyst at IDC.
