This is going to be political but you won’t be able to tell which side I’m on. You might ask, why on Earth would I get involved even tangentially in politics right now? The simple answer is that it impacts CRM and I have a viewpoint — but as I say, I’m not picking or revealing a side. I’ve been doing research in business agility lately — a fascinating area that I believe will have a definite impact on CRM soon — and that brought me here. Business agility is the opposite of what we’ve been practicing for my adult lifetime and even before.

The Internet is a great example: The good side lets you learn anything, about anything, anytime, any place. The bad side targets you with scams. They are running rampant, and there is not a damn thing we can do about it.
Have you recently received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft offering to help you with Windows? These callers typically are very nice. All they want to do is chat and help you.

There seem to be two distinct sectors forming in the wireless industry. One side is wireless as part of a bundle of services. The other is wireless as a standalone product. That means how we measure and track companies on both sides may have to change. Growth and change are affecting companies like AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, TracFone and C Spire on the service side of the industry, as well as companies like Apple, Google, Samsung, Nokia and many others on the product side.
