Key components of the Obama administration’s multipronged cybersecurity initiative keep falling into place. One of the most recent developments was the formation of a federal Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity. Another was the formal introduction in Congress of the administration’s information technology investment plan, which is heavily tilted toward cybersecurity protection. Both are elements of the Cybersecurity National Action Plan, or CNAP, which was launched earlier this year.

Configure, price, quote software was once a barely thought about branch of CRM, falling under the heading of sales enablement. But lately, it’s been getting a lot of attention. Last month, Salesforce Ventures, Salesforce’s corporate investment group, swung into action. It led a Series B round of funding that garnered US$41 million for Apttus, a high-flying CPQ vendor. Salesforce Ventures also participated in SteelBrick raising $18 million in a series B round. That’s two CPQ vendors that Salesforce has taken an interest in. The question is, why?

Canaccord raises Apple target to $660, finds iPhone 5s top seller at all major US carriers

With its price target at risk of falling below the company’s actual trading share price, Canaccord Genuity on Thursday updated its forecast for Apple stock to $660, and revealed the results of a new survey that found the iPhone 5s is the most popular handset at all four major U.S. carriers.
