Chris & Joellen Carpenter Wedding Website Launched

Chris & Joellen Carpenter Wedding Website Launched

proVanceTek just completed a wedding website project for Chris and Joellen Carpenter. The website is a elegant, simple, static HTML design. The website is media heavy, including hundreds of photos and various videos.

We also provided video production services for the client, by 1) creating a video montage from wedding photos set to licensed music and 2) taking video from two camera sources that the client provided from the wedding ceremony and cutting together a quick wedding ceremony video. The website, including the videos, was turned around within twenty four hours of the wedding so that non-local family and friends who were unable to attend could quickly have plenty of multimedia to view; much of the website and many of the photos were live within hours of the ceremony.

Regarding the website's video player technology, the client needed an inexpensive solution to include online video within the website. proVanceTek incorporated the videos into the website using the open source version of a Flash video player called Flowplayer. The solution was fast, free, and accomplished what the client wanted. The only real caveat is that free version watermarks the video when in full screen mode.

proVanceTek Launches New GCTA Website

GCTA Website

This week we launched the Greater Columbus Tennis Association's new website. We've been working with GCTA for the past couple months on creating a website that would allow them to more easily communicate with their members and share information with other site visitors.

The Greater Columbus Tennis Association is a non profit organization that "grew" out of the Upper Arlington Tennis Association. GCTA supports tennis in the central Ohio area and is comprised of volunteers.

The GCTA is the USTA Community Tennis Association for Central Ohio. The hierarchy of the USTA organization is: GCTA, Ohio Valley Tennis Association, USTA Midwest Section, and USTA. The GCTA has a long history of providing organized summer tennis for the Columbus area adults and juniors, as well as running events for the Ohio Valley Tennis Association. A fundamental part of the GCTA is its support of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department tennis program.

We developed the GCTA website around the Drupal content management system. The website provides visitors with online resources including an online calendar, a forum, a blog, photo albums, and more.

proVanceTek Working With Client to Design a Rate Greenville Apartments Website

The Bellamy Apartments

proVanceTek is currently working on designing a website targeted for East Carolina Students who are seeking off-campus housing. The feature rich website will list apartment complexes in Greenville, NC and suburbs and will allow interaction between property management, current tenants, and potential tenants. Landlords will have the ability to edit content about their properties, tenants will be able to rate the properties, and potential tenants will be able to browse listings and post questions.

Apartment listings are planned to include photos and videos of properties, links to management websites, management contact information, leasing rates, amenities, five star ratings voted by the website's users, and more.

The student oriented website will be advertised on the ECU campus, through the local media, and online. Plans for a January 1, 2008 launch seem to be on schedule and timely as students begin to search for their housing for the 2009-2010 school year.

Ohio Educational Theatre Association New Website Released

Ohio Educational Theatre Association New Website Released

just launched the new Ohio Educational Theatre Association website. In May, the state board unanimously voted to hire us to redesign and host their new website, scheduled to be launched in August 2008.

After some delay in transferring the domain names, now September, the initial launch of the website has been released. Planning is still in progress for some of the more detailed website features. Currently, however, the website provides an online calendar and blog. We've also provided organizational email addresses for the nearly thirty state board members. Other discussions about website features have included document management, online registration forms for various needs, online ticket sales for shows and conferences, etc.

The website used to be several static HTML pages, but has since blossomed into a fully capable Drupal Content Management System based website. Using Drupal, we'll be able to provide all the aforementioned features, along with other, currently unconceived, features.

New Up 'til Dawn Website Released

New East Carolina University Up 'til Dawn Website

proVanceTek is proud to be hosting the East Carolina University Up 'til Dawn website and has added some new features for online registration for events, calender, photo galleries, donations, document management, and much more!

The ECU Up 'til Dawn website was a recent acquisition from proVanceTek's owner's previous venture corporation. The website was designed from one of St. Jude's sanctioned templates to incorporate the East Carolina University branding banner across the top. The St. Jude HTML template was modified and ported over to a Wordpress website installation as a Wordpress theme.

The new website is utilizing the Drupal Content Management System. The website is a large improvement over the old Wordpress based website. There are several layers of user roles that allow Up 'til Dawn Board members access to pages and files that the general public does not have the ability to access. Likewise, sponsors and volunteers have their respective roles. We've utilized out-of-the-box Drupal modules to accomplish some of the groups needs, but we've customized others as needed.

Beating Myeloma Walkathon Success

Beating Myeloma Walkathon Success - Thermometer

We designed a web application for Beating Myeloma, an existing proVanceTek client, that allowed them to manage their walkathon event that was a cross between the well known Race for the Cure and the St. Jude Up 'til Dawn "50 Names Fast" program.

The Second Annual Galen Foundation Walk the Walk, Talk the Talkathon took place Saturday, June 21st, 2008 from 10am to noon at the University Upper School track.

If over a hundred pledges, resulting in nearly $12,000 in donations isn't proof enough of the event's success, check out their event video on the Beating Myeloma website. Last couple years, David Emerson, founder of Beating Myeloma and the Galen Foundation, walked by himself, accepting donations from friends and family, and raised about three grand. This year, he expanded operations to include other walkers and reaped the reward of more donations than ever.
