The Eve of the Self-Driving Revolution

A decade ago, there wasn’t much talk about self-driving cars or autonomous-cars, but Toyota and Lexus were setting the stage with their self-parking cars. They aired television commercials showing how cars magically parallel-parked themselves. At the time, it seemed amazing, but that was nothing compared to what’s coming next. The self-parking revolution that spread throughout the automotive industry over the last decade is now expanding. There is more technology in cars today than ever before.

Warning: Think Twice Before Updating to iOS 9

Apple, you insensitive scoundrel, you made my bride cry. It wasn’t tears of joy over your great technology, either. It was because you caused the loss of countless personal photos and memories, and all sorts of other personal information that we can never get back again. It’s all because you simply didn’t warn users not to upgrade to iOS 9 until the bugs were worked out. By the way, your iCloud didn’t work for us, either. Countless other Apple users have suffered losses like ours.

Sprint continued to make progress in its turnaround during Q1. However, it apparently wasn’t enough to keep the company from slipping to fourth place among major wireless carriers, exchanging places with T-Mobile, which climbed up to third. Among other things, Sprint cut postpaid customer losses in the quarter to 12,000 — the lowest ever. It had total net additions of 675,000 customers compared with the Q1, 2014, loss of 220,000. It also earned 180 RootScore awards in the first half of 2015, compared with 27 in the same period last year.

That’s exactly what happened in late July when hackers used Flash to infect Yahoo websites with malware in what has been described as one of the largest malvertising attacks seen in the recent months.
