4 Email Marketing Mistakes to Avoid

I recently received an email from my health club that said, in part: “Dear Chris, We’ve noticed you haven’t been in as regularly in recent weeks. I understand there may be many reasons for not being able to make it in, but I just wanted to send a quick note to check if you’re happy with the service we’ve been providing. Let me know if I can be of any assistance and I hope to see you very soon!” While I appreciate that the health club is at least trying to stay in contact, this email managed to do several things wrong all at once.

Yahoo Publishes NSLs Following Freedom Act Reforms

Yahoo last week published the text of three National Security Letters it received from the FBI in 2013. The letters demand the names, addresses, length of service, and electronic communications transactional records — existing transaction and activity logs and all email header information — of the targets. However, they do not ask for any content — either the subject lines or bodies of emails. Yahoo sent the FBI the name, address and length of service for each of the accounts identified in two of the NSLs.

Review: Apple's 9.7" iPad Pro is professional-grade, powerful & pricey

Article Image After being neglected in 2015, Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad has received a much-needed professional makeover, gaining key features from the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and even outperforming it in a few ways. Apple Execs' Salaries Go Up as Stock Goes Down

All but one of Apple’s top team received a pay raise in 2015, according to a proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission this week.
