One of the biggest challenges facing organizations of all sizes trying to move to the cloud is finding and retaining the skilled workers necessary to implement today’s rapidly expanding assortment of on-demand services. This skills gap cost companies more than $250 million in lost business opportunities in just one year, according to a recent survey conducted by the London School of Economics. The 2017 study polled 1,900 IT professionals and executives in the U.S., UK, Europe, Mexico, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.

US Army, Air Force need better drone training, report says

The U.S. Army and Air Force are facing drone pilot training challenges, according to a report to Congress by the Government Accountability Office.

The 44-page report, released May 14, highlights key areas where the military needs to bolster its training around drones, also known as Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
