The job cuts likely would be in sales. Twitter might be taking steps to make itself look more attractive to investors in preparation for its third-quarter earnings report later this week, which is expected to disappoint once again. “Twitter was a challenged company before it was put into play by takeover suitors,” said Tim Mulligan, senior analyst at Midia Research.
