All Sony Mini DV 60 EXML tapes feature a Diamond-Like Carbon coating protective layer, which improves durability and helps prevent shedding and drop out. EXcellence grade tape has 2dB higher carrier to noise ratio (vs. Sony Premium Mini DV Tapes) making it ideal for LP recording and fewer dropouts. This tape is the same quality as the Sony DVM-60 Excellence, but it also has the shot logging memory chip.
