proVanceTek Works With ECU UTD, WRNS, and Chili's on St. Jude Fundraising Event
We've been working closely with the Greenville, NC Chili's Grill and Bar, East Carolina University Up 'til Dawn, and WRNS Radio on a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital fundraising event planned for 2 March 2009. The event basically entails no effort on the donor's behalf - simply show up at one of five Chili's in Eastern North Carolina on March 2nd, eat dinner as you normally would, and Chili's will donate 10% of the bill to St. Jude!
proVanceTek has been generating print media for the event to be distributed locally around Greenville in neighborhoods, at local businesses, on the campus of East Carolina University, etc. Here is one example of a flyer we designed to help promote the event.
Additionally, proVanceTek has been working with East Carolina University Up 'til Dawn on their similar, every Wednesday, events. It almost appears as if the idea was borrowed from ECU UTD, as they had been working with Chili's in Greenville on organizing their Wednesday events and had already hosted two before the WRNS event was even planned - great minds think alike! To help UTD raise money for St. Jude, simply visit their website, print their Chili's Fundraising Flyer, eat dinner as you normally would at the Greenville Chili's every Wednesday, present the flyer to your server, and Chili's will donate 10% of the bill to St. Jude!

Beating Myeloma Walkathon Success
We designed a web application for Beating Myeloma, an existing proVanceTek client, that allowed them to manage their walkathon event that was a cross between the well known Race for the Cure and the St. Jude Up 'til Dawn "50 Names Fast" program.
The Second Annual Galen Foundation Walk the Walk, Talk the Talkathon took place Saturday, June 21st, 2008 from 10am to noon at the University Upper School track.
If over a hundred pledges, resulting in nearly $12,000 in donations isn't proof enough of the event's success, check out their event video on the Beating Myeloma website. Last couple years, David Emerson, founder of Beating Myeloma and the Galen Foundation, walked by himself, accepting donations from friends and family, and raised about three grand. This year, he expanded operations to include other walkers and reaped the reward of more donations than ever.

Walkathon Fundraising Web Application for Beating Myeloma
Beating Myeloma, an existing proVanceTek client, requested that we help them design a web based application for a fundraising project of theirs.
The event is to be similar to the well known Race for the Cure combined with the St. Jude Up 'til Dawn "50 Names Fast" program. The Second Annual Galen Foundation Walk the Walk, Talk the Talkathon is to take place Saturday, June 21st, 2008 from 10am to noon at the Chagrin Falls High School track.
Because their existing website is maintained in Drupal, we needed to design something for the CMS so it would be transparent to the end user. We utilized existing Drupal modules that did things that were similar to what we needed and modified them where necessary.

Jessica Grové, Broadway Comes Home Benefit Concert
On December 2, 2007, Jessica Grové and a score of Broadway and local Ohio performers held a benefit concert at Hilliard Davidson High School in Hilliard, Ohio to kick off the Hilliard Education Foundation's Jessica Grové Fund for the Performing Arts.
Robert Nelson Vance, of proVanceTek, was the sound designer for this event which was held in the Hilliard Davidson High School Performing Arts Center. Sound amplification for the thousand seat auditorium included four vocalist, a children's choir, a grand piano, an acoustic bass, an acoustic-electric guitar, and an emcee, in addition to a three channel on-stage monitor mix for the performers.
The fund will benefit theatre students at Hilliard Davidson High School, Hilliard Darby High School, and Hilliard Bradley High School. The four performers, one of whom was fellow Broadway star Dan Cooney, performed hits from classic Broadway shows, as well as three pop songs and a combination with The Columbus Children's Niña Choir.
