Beating Myeloma Website Has Moved
Beating Myeloma was founded by multiple myeloma survivor David Emerson and is dedicated to helping everyone faced with myeloma manage their health and live longer, better lives. The Galen Foundation, umbrella organization of Beating Myeloma, is a 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit organization.
Beating Myeloma provides an interactive forum for sharing information, advice, and a full spectrum of approaches to confronting disease. Online forums, newsletters, member interaction via personal contacts, patient studies, and several other upcoming feature additions provide members the benefit of interactive health communication.
In November 2007, Beating Myeloma followed Robert Vance, proVanceTek owner, from the company for which he had previously been co-owner. Robert served on The Galen Foundation's Strategic Planning Committee meeting as their IT consultant.
After many meeting's in Cleveland, where The Galen Foundation based, in early 2008, proVanceTek began working with the organization to prepare to migrate their website from their previous webhost to proVanceTek servers. After much preparation, the Beating Myeloma website made its move at the end of April 2008.
The Galen Foundation and proVanceTek are currently working on some major site revision planning and a rather complex fundraising application for The Galen Foundation's Second Annual Talk the Talk, Walk the Walkathon to be held in mid June 2008.
